PGT Geography Teacher Job in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh | School Recruitment
Mont Fort School invites a dedicated PGT Geography Teacher to join its team in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The Geography Teacher will primarily work under the guidance of the school’s academic head, ensuring curriculum implementation and student progress in geography-related subjects. The role emphasizes practical teaching methods, including field trips, project-based learning, and integration of local geography to enhance student engagement.
Core Duties
Teaching Geography at the senior secondary level, covering syllabi from boards like CBSE and Uttar Pradesh Board, with a focus on physical, human, and economic geography. Designing and delivering engaging lesson plans that incorporate modern teaching tools like maps, satellite imagery, and real-world case studies.
Conducting field visits and expeditions to explore natural landscapes, historical sites, and urban geography of Saharanpur and nearby regions. Collaborating with the science and social science departments to create interdisciplinary projects that integrate geography with other subjects.
Assisting in organizing geography-related competitions, workshops, and extracurricular activities like model making, debate clubs, and environmental awareness campaigns. Maintaining accurate records of student performance, attendance, and progress in geography subjects.
Qualification and Experience
A postgraduate degree in Geography or a related field with at least three years of teaching experience at the secondary or senior secondary level. Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) is mandatory. A Teaching Eligibility Test (TET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
The ideal candidate should have a strong command of geography concepts, including regional geography of Uttar Pradesh, and a willingness to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs. Experience with digital learning tools and educational technology is a plus.
Compensation and Location
The selected candidate will receive a monthly salary ranging from Rs.30,000 to Rs.55,000.
