Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the English curriculum for classes 9-12
- Lead the English department to achieve outstanding board results
- Mentor and support junior staff to enhance their teaching skills
- Provide guidance and feedback to English teachers to improve their performance
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of the English curriculum
- Conduct regular parent-teacher meetings to keep parents informed about student progress
- Participate in school events and activities to promote English language and literature
- Develop and maintain relationships with local English language and literature experts
- Stay updated with the latest English language and literature trends and developments
- Conduct research and provide recommendations for improving the English curriculum
Eligibility Criteria
- Postgraduate degree in English (M.A., M.Com, or M.Sc) or a related field
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in a senior role
- NET or SET in English (or a related field) is preferred
- Strong understanding of the English curriculum and teaching methods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
