Role Summary

Unity Convent School is looking for a qualified PRT English Teacher to join our team in Sadar, Shahjahanpur. The role involves teaching English to primary students with a focus on reading, writing, and speaking skills. Experience in classroom management and lesson planning is essential. The position requires a graduate with B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Fluency in English and Hindi is preferred for effective communication with students and parents.

Key Responsibilities

1. Plan and deliver English lessons for classes 1 to 5 as per the school curriculum.
2. Prepare teaching aids, worksheets, and activities to make learning interactive.
3. Assess student progress through regular tests and provide feedback to parents.
4. Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe learning environment.
5. Organize English language events like debates, storytelling, and recitation.
6. Collaborate with other teachers to align teaching methods across subjects.
7. Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and school functions.
8. Keep accurate records of attendance, marks, and student behavior.
9. Support school initiatives such as cultural programs and sports days.

Eligibility Criteria

Must Have
- Graduate in English or related field
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution
- Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in primary classes
- Fluency in English and Hindi
- Ability to teach English effectively to young learners

Good to Have
- CTET or TET certification
- Experience in a convent school or similar institution
- Knowledge of phonics and grammar teaching methods
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools like smart boards
- Participation in extracurricular activities
