Scottish International School in Shamli seeks a dedicated PGT Geography Teacher to join its esteemed faculty. This role involves shaping young minds with a strong foundation in geography, blending academic rigor with hands-on learning experiences.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging geography lessons aligned with Scottish International School’s curriculum. Incorporate modern teaching methods, field trips, and interactive projects to enhance student understanding of geographical concepts. Collaborate with the geography department to develop resources, assessments, and extracurricular activities like model making or climate change discussions.
Prepare and grade assignments, exams, and continuous evaluation sheets while ensuring fairness and clarity. Attend department meetings and school events to represent the subject effectively. Support students with special needs through differentiated learning strategies if required.
Qualification
Hold a postgraduate degree in Geography or a related field. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification to qualify for teaching roles in schools. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
Prove at least two years of teaching experience in geography at the secondary or higher secondary level. Familiarity with international curricula like IB or Cambridge is a plus.
