Key Responsibilities
1. Teach English language and literature to students from Classes I to X, adhering to Scottish International School's curriculum and pedagogy.
2. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the needs of students with varying learning styles and abilities.
3. Develop and implement assessments to measure student progress and understanding.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration.
5. Engage with parents through regular progress updates, parent-teacher meetings, and parent-teacher associations to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
6. Participate in staff development programs and contribute to school-wide initiatives that promote excellence in teaching and learning.
7. Collaborate with colleagues to plan and implement school-wide events and activities that celebrate language and literature.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in English or related field
* B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree
* CTET or TET (preferably) certification
* 3 years of teaching experience in English language and literature
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing situations
