Job Description
Spring Field School invites experienced educators to join its creative arts program in Haridwar. This role focuses on teaching Art and Craft to students, fostering creativity and hands-on learning through engaging projects and practical sessions.
The PRT will design and implement age-appropriate Art and Craft lessons, ensuring alignment with school curriculum standards. You’ll supervise classroom activities, including material preparation and student demonstrations. Daily classroom management will include monitoring student participation, addressing behavioral concerns, and maintaining a safe learning environment.
Lesson planning will cover traditional and modern craft techniques, such as painting, pottery, weaving, and craft projects. Collaborate with the Art and Craft coordinator to develop thematic units and seasonal activities. Assess student progress through creative projects, observations, and periodic evaluations.
Teach students basic art principles, including color theory, composition, and craft techniques. Use a variety of materials, including natural and recycled resources, to encourage sustainable practices. Organize extracurricular art clubs or workshops to extend learning beyond the classroom.
Maintain a well-organized classroom space, ensuring tools and materials are accessible and safe for use. Keep detailed records of student work, attendance, and lesson plans for administrative review. Participate in staff meetings and professional development sessions to enhance teaching methods.
Ensure compliance with school policies regarding student safety, hygiene, and discipline. Work closely with parents to communicate student achievements and areas for improvement. Represent the school at community events where Art and Craft demonstrations may be part of the program.
To apply for this full-time position at Spring Field School in Haridwar, candidates must hold a graduate degree with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in Art and Craft, is required. While TET/CTET certification is preferred, it is not mandatory. The monthly salary package for this role is Rs.12,000 to Rs.22,000, depending on qualifications and performance.
