At Spring Field School, a TGT Sanskrit Teacher plays a key role in shaping young minds through the ancient language and culture of Sanskrit. The teacher prepares curriculum aligned with Uttarakhand’s education board standards, covering Vedic literature, grammar, and basic composition.
The core duties include delivering structured classes in Sanskrit, from basic vocabulary to advanced poetry and prose. Daily lessons may include recitation of mantras, analysis of classical texts like the Rigveda, and simple writing exercises. The teacher also organizes extracurricular activities such as cultural fests, storytelling sessions, or debates to reinforce learning in a fun, interactive way.
Assessment and planning are integral to this role. Weekly progress checks involve oral tests, written assignments, and quizzes to evaluate comprehension. The teacher adjusts teaching methods based on student performance, ensuring each child’s strengths and learning pace are supported. Lesson planning includes preparing detailed syllabi, worksheets, and visual aids to make complex concepts accessible.
A TGT Sanskrit Teacher at Spring Field School must hold a postgraduate degree in Sanskrit or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in Sanskrit or classical languages, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly beneficial for career growth.
