Daily Responsibilities

Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update syllabus-based lesson plans aligned with Uttarakhand’s curriculum, incorporating local environmental studies to connect theory with real-world examples. Collaborate with other science teachers to design cross-subject projects, such as eco-club activities or field trips to nearby forests. Attend weekly staff meetings to discuss teaching strategies and share innovative methods for engaging students in biology. Ensure all students meet minimum attendance and participation requirements, supporting those who need extra guidance.
Periodic Responsibilities
Participate in termly evaluation meetings to assess teaching effectiveness and adjust strategies based on student feedback and academic performance data. Organize biology-related extracurricular events, like science fairs or workshops, to encourage curiosity and hands-on learning. Prepare periodic reports on student progress, highlighting strengths and areas needing improvement for parents and administrative review.
Qualification and Experience
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in Biology as the minimum requirement. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting, is essential. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it is highly valued. Strong communication skills, patience, and a passion for nurturing scientific curiosity are key traits for this role.
