Responsibilities

Assess student performance through continuous evaluation, including projects, exams, and practical assessments. Collaborate with senior faculty to improve academic standards and contribute to school events like history fairs or cultural programs.
Supervise student activities, including field trips to historical sites in Uttarakhand like Almora or Haridwar, where students can explore heritage firsthand. Maintain updated teaching resources, including textbooks, maps, and multimedia tools, to enhance learning experiences. Act as a mentor to students, encouraging them to explore history beyond textbooks through debates, research, and extracurricular involvement.
Requirements
Hold a postgraduate degree in History or a related discipline with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. Minimum two years of teaching experience in History at the senior secondary level is essential. Familiarity with state-specific history syllabi and teaching methodologies is highly desirable. Possession of TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory for this PGT History Teacher position.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to explain complex historical concepts effectively. Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and school management is crucial. A genuine interest in Uttarakhand’s history and cultural heritage would be an asset for this role.
Compensation
The successful candidate will be offered a monthly salary ranging from Rs.30,000 to Rs.56,000, depending on qualifications and experience. Phoenix Sr. Sec.
