What is this role?
A full‑time PGT Physical Education Teacher at Phoenix Sr. Sec. School responsible for delivering dynamic PE classes to students across grades. The position focuses on enhancing physical fitness, sportsmanship, and holistic development within the school community.
What will I actually do?
Plan and conduct engaging physical education lessons, incorporating drills, games, and fitness routines that cater to varied age groups. Organise inter‑class and inter‑school sports events, manage the school gymnasium and outdoor fields, and maintain equipment safety. Mentor students in sports disciplines, track progress, and provide feedback to parents and teachers. Collaborate with the school administration to integrate physical education into the broader curriculum and promote healthy lifestyles.
What do I need to qualify?
Post‑graduate degree with B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification is required. A valid TET or CTET qualification is preferred but not mandatory. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary PE pedagogy and sports coaching is essential.
What experience is expected?
A minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a school setting, preferably with exposure to coaching multiple sports and managing student teams. Experience in organising tournaments and familiarity with school sports infrastructure will strengthen the application.
What does it pay?
Salary range of Rs.30,000 – Rs.56,000 per month, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
