Core Duties
Curriculum Development and Teaching
Design and deliver age-appropriate Physical Education lessons, incorporating games, sports, and fitness routines. Adapt activities to meet diverse student abilities while ensuring safety and inclusivity. Collaborate with the curriculum team to integrate physical education standards into the school’s academic framework.
Sports Coaching and Competitions
Oversee school sports teams, including cricket, football, basketball, and track events. Organize inter-house and inter-school competitions, ensuring fair play and adherence to Uttarakhand School Sports Association rules. Mentor students in leadership roles during sports events.
Student Development and Wellness
Encourage a healthy lifestyle among students through nutrition workshops and wellness programs. Monitor student participation in physical activities and provide feedback to help them improve performance. Act as a bridge between students and the school’s health and fitness initiatives.
Facility Management and Safety
Maintain school sports infrastructure, including playgrounds, gymnasiums, and equipment. Ensure all activities comply with safety protocols, including first aid training where necessary. Assist in organizing outdoor learning sessions and environmental activities.
Qualification and Experience
The ideal candidate must hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a postgraduate qualification in Physical Education or a related field. A TET or CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in Physical Education or sports-related roles, is required. Knowledge of Uttarakhand’s school curriculum and local sports culture will be an asset.
Compensation and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a competitive salary of Rs. 22,000 to Rs. 35,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience. The role is based in Rudarpur, Udhamsingh Nagar, offering a scenic location with access to outdoor sports facilities.
