Daily Responsibilities
Plan and conduct engaging classroom lectures covering advanced botany topics like plant taxonomy, physiology, and genetics. Prepare and deliver interactive lessons, ensuring students grasp complex concepts through visual aids and real-world examples. Supervise lab sessions where students conduct experiments on plant growth, genetics, and environmental studies. Maintain organized records of student progress, attendance, and participation in daily assessments.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update syllabi, lesson plans, and assessment frameworks aligned with the school’s curriculum and board standards. Collaborate with other science faculty to integrate botany with related subjects like environmental science and biology. Participate in curriculum reviews and suggest improvements based on student feedback and academic trends. Assist in organizing science fairs, workshops, and field trips to enhance practical learning experiences.
Periodic Responsibilities
Prepare and review student projects, research papers, and lab reports to ensure academic excellence. Attend school meetings and workshops to stay updated on educational policies and teaching methodologies. Conduct periodic evaluations of teaching effectiveness and adjust strategies as needed to improve student outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a postgraduate degree in Botany or a related field with at least four years of teaching experience. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree to qualify for a PGT position. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Strong communication skills and a passion for nurturing scientific curiosity in students are essential.
Salary and Location
