PGT Fine Arts Teacher Job in Bankura, West Bengal
Saraswati Devi International School in Bankura invites a dedicated PGT Fine Arts Teacher to join its dynamic academic team. This role requires a passionate educator with a postgraduate degree in Fine Arts and at least four years of teaching experience. Your expertise will shape young minds through creative expression, fostering artistic skills and cultural appreciation in a vibrant school environment.
A typical week in this role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons across various Fine Arts disciplines—drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art. You’ll guide students through hands-on projects, workshops, and exhibitions, ensuring they explore creativity while meeting curriculum standards. Classroom instruction isn’t the only focus; you’ll also collaborate with other teachers to integrate art into interdisciplinary lessons, such as history or literature, to deepen learning.
Daily responsibilities include grading assignments, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining a safe, inspiring art studio. You’ll prepare lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum, ensuring activities are age-appropriate and culturally relevant. Administrative tasks like updating student portfolios and coordinating school art events also fall under your scope, ensuring students showcase their work in exhibitions or competitions.
Periodically, you’ll attend parent-teacher meetings to discuss student progress and participate in school-wide art festivals or workshops. Professional development opportunities, such as workshops or training sessions on new artistic techniques, may also be part of your role. Your role is central to nurturing creativity while aligning with Saraswati Devi’s commitment to holistic education.
The school values innovation and collaboration, so you’ll work closely with the Fine Arts department to refine programs and keep teaching methods fresh. Your ability to inspire students through art while maintaining high academic standards will make a lasting impact on their growth. This is an opportunity to blend passion with professionalism in a supportive and creative learning environment.
