About This Role
Narayana E-techno School, Coochbehar is looking for a Sports Head to lead, manage, and develop the sports department. The Sports HOD will oversee daily operations, curriculum planning, and inter-school competitions. This is a full-time, non-teaching administrative role for someone with at least five years of experience in school sports management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead and manage the sports department at Narayana E-techno School, Coochbehar with a focus on discipline and excellence.
2. Plan and implement sports curriculum and annual calendar aligned with CBSE guidelines and school objectives.
3. Organize inter-house and inter-school sports events in Cooch Behar I and surrounding areas.
4. Maintain sports infrastructure, equipment, and safety protocols in the school premises.
5. Coordinate with coaches, ground staff, and external agencies for sports activities and tournaments.
6. Prepare annual sports budget, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.
7. Document student participation, achievements, and progress for reporting and recognition.
8. Represent Narayana E-techno School in district-level sports forums and competitions.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Physical Education or Sports Science from a recognized university is essential. B.Ed or D.El.Ed with specialization in sports will be preferred. Minimum five years of experience in sports administration or coaching in a school environment is required. Basic computer proficiency in MS Office and sports management software is necessary.
Preferred Skills
Experience in organizing CBSE sports meets or state-level tournaments is highly desirable. Strong leadership and team management skills for handling coaches and ground staff are important. Knowledge of sports psychology and talent identification will be an added advantage.
What You Get
The position offers a fixed monthly salary between Rs.20,000 and Rs.40,000 based on experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include PF, insurance, and access to school sports facilities.
