PGT Physics Teacher Job in Darjeeling, West Bengal | School Recruitment
Role Summary
Techno India Group’s Phansidewa campus integrates smart classrooms with hands-on physics labs and real-time data logging tools. The PGT Physics Teacher will design lessons that connect classical concepts to modern applications like renewable energy and space technology. The role requires translating complex theories into engaging, experiment-driven classroom sessions.
Pedagogy and Tools
Classrooms are equipped with interactive smart boards, wireless sensors, and PhET simulations for virtual experiments. Google Classroom and a custom LMS are used daily for assignments, quizzes, and flipped-classroom videos. Blended learning modules combine YouTube lectures from IIT professors with local lab observations.
Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare weekly lesson plans aligned to ICSE and CBSE standards for Physics Teacher Jobs in Darjeeling.
Conduct live demonstrations using Pasco or Vernier sensors and upload results to Google Sheets for analysis.
Create short concept videos (5–8 minutes) on topics like projectile motion or semiconductor physics for the LMS.
Monitor student progress through weekly online quizzes built in Google Forms and the LMS gradebook.
Organize quarterly project fairs where students prototype devices such as solar chargers or wind turbines.
Host virtual guest lectures by scientists from SINP Kolkata or IIT Kharagpur via Google Meet.
Maintain a digital portfolio of student lab reports shared with parents through the LMS.
Collaborate with the STEM club to plan weekend maker sessions using Arduino and Raspberry Pi kits.
Required Qualifications
Postgraduate degree in Physics with minimum 55% marks from a recognized university.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) with Physics specialization.
Two years of full-time teaching experience in Physics Teacher Recruitment in West Bengal.
Familiarity with interactive whiteboards and online assessment platforms is essential.
CTET or TET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
