PGT Chemistry Teacher Job in Hooghly, West Bengal
Role Summary

How You Will Teach
As a PGT Chemistry Teacher, you will be expected to use practical methods to teach Chemistry, including laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and discussions. Your teaching methods will be aligned with the state board curriculum and you will be responsible for preparing students for board exams.
Day-to-Day Duties
- Prepare and deliver lessons to senior secondary students, including lectures, demonstrations, and laboratory experiments
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students and parents
- Develop and implement plans to improve student academic performance
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to academic planning
- Mentor junior teachers and provide support and guidance
- Conduct laboratory experiments and demonstrations to teach Chemistry concepts
- Develop and implement plans to improve student engagement and motivation
- Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement interdisciplinary projects
- Supervise students during laboratory experiments and ensure their safety
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Chemistry (M.Sc.) or a related field
- B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree is desirable
- NET or SET certification in Chemistry or a related field is desirable
- Experience of teaching Chemistry to senior secondary students
