PRT Art And Craft Teacher Job in Hooghly, West Bengal

Short role introduction
The PRT Art And Craft Teacher will inspire students in Chinsurah Magra to explore visual and tactile creativity. Working closely with senior faculty, the teacher will develop engaging lesson plans that align with the school curriculum and foster a love for the arts.
Daily responsibilities
- Deliver classroom instruction in Art And Craft, using age‑appropriate techniques and materials.
- Maintain an organized and safe work environment, ensuring tools and supplies are ready for each session.
- Observe students’ progress, provide constructive feedback, and adjust activities to meet individual learning needs.
- Keep accurate attendance records and submit daily reports to the department head.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle
- Prepare and update curriculum resources, including project guidelines, reference materials, and assessment rubrics.
- Coordinate with teachers of other subjects to integrate art projects into interdisciplinary units.
- Conduct student exhibitions and portfolio reviews at the end of each term, showcasing student achievements to parents and the school community.
- Participate in faculty meetings, contributing ideas for school‑wide art initiatives and extracurricular programs.
Periodic responsibilities
- Organize and oversee annual art competitions, ensuring fair judging and celebration of winners.
- Lead workshops for students and parents on basic craft techniques, promoting community engagement.
- Submit term‑end progress reports and maintain a digital archive of student artworks for record‑keeping and future reference.
Qualification and experience
- Graduate with a degree in Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a school setting, preferably in Art And Craft.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed is preferred; TET/CTET not mandatory.
Salary and location
- Competitive salary ranging from Rs.14,000 to Rs.25,000 per month.
- Full‑time position located in Chinsurah Magra, Hooghly, West Bengal.
