PRT Music Teacher Position at Don Bosco School in Hooghly
Don Bosco School in Bandel invites applications for a PRT Music Teacher role to join the faculty in Chinsurah Magra, Hooghly. This position focuses on nurturing students’ musical talents through engaging classroom instruction and extracurricular activities. The successful candidate will contribute to creating a vibrant music curriculum aligned with school standards while fostering creativity and discipline.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Teach fundamental music theory, instruments, and singing techniques to students in the specified grade.
2. Develop and implement lesson plans that integrate music education with other subjects where applicable.
3. Conduct group and individual music practice sessions, ensuring progress and skill development.
4. Organize school music events, performances, and competitions to promote cultural enrichment.
5. Assess students’ musical abilities through practical evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
6. Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music into interdisciplinary projects and school programs.
7. Maintain a well-organized music room, including instruments and resources, for effective teaching.
8. Participate in school meetings and workshops to stay updated on teaching methodologies and curriculum updates.
The ideal candidate holds a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree and has at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting. A graduate background with a strong passion for music is essential. Candidates with prior experience in music education or performing arts will be preferred.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary of Rs.14,000 to Rs.25,000 per month, along with the opportunity to work in a supportive academic environment in Hooghly.
