Key Responsibilities

As an Academic Counsellor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following key duties:

- Developing and implementing academic policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned with the State Board of West Bengal curriculum.
- Providing academic guidance and support to students, teachers, and parents to ensure a high-quality learning experience.
- Overseeing the management of student records, reports, and assessments to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Coordinating with teachers, staff, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Contributing to the development of the school's annual budget and operational plans.
- Supervising and mentoring administrative staff to ensure efficient and effective day-to-day operations.
- Building and maintaining relationships with local community members, parents, and alumni to foster a positive school reputation.
- Participating in school-wide events, conferences, and workshops to enhance professional knowledge and skills.
- Collaborating with the principal and senior staff to develop and implement school improvement plans.
- Providing guidance and support to teachers and staff on academic matters, ensuring that they are aware of and comply with school policies and procedures.

Eligibility

Applicants for this Academic Counsellor Position in Howrah, West Bengal, should possess a postgraduate degree (M.A., M.Sc., M.Ed., or MBA) and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a senior administrative role in a school or educational institution. A degree in education (B.Ed., D.El.Ed., or M.Ed.) is highly desirable.
