Key Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging Physical Education (PE) classes that integrate sports, fitness, and life skills. Develop age-appropriate curricula, including outdoor activities, indoor games, and health education, ensuring compliance with school policies. Supervise sports events, tournaments, and extracurricular activities, fostering a competitive yet inclusive environment. Collaborate with the principal and faculty to assess student progress in PE and recommend improvements. Maintain well-equipped sports facilities, ensuring safety standards and cleanliness. Organize inter-house sports competitions and represent the school in local tournaments. Mentor students to build discipline, teamwork, and resilience through sports.
Qualifications and Experience:
Hold a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree with a specialization or strong interest in Physical Education. Possess a TET/CTET certificate as a preference but not mandatory. Have at least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in schools with a focus on sports or physical fitness. Demonstrate expertise in teaching various sports—football, basketball, cricket, athletics, and yoga—to diverse student groups. Familiarity with curriculum frameworks like CBSE/NIOS is beneficial. A clean conduct certificate and a valid first-aid certification are essential.
