- Participate in department meetings, share resources, and collaborate on interdisciplinary activities.
- Organize occasional field trips or guest lectures to connect sociological theory with local community issues.
Periodic Responsibilities
- Prepare termly examination papers and evaluate answer scripts in accordance with board guidelines.
- Contribute to the school’s annual academic audit by submitting performance reports and lesson records.
- Assist in the preparation of the school’s prospectus and promotional material highlighting the Sociology program.
Qualification and Experience
- Post‑graduate degree in Sociology or related discipline.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed is mandatory; TET/CTET qualification preferred.
- Minimum four years of teaching experience at the PGT level in a school setting.
- Strong communication skills and ability to relate sociological concepts to everyday life in West Bengal.
Salary and Location
- Salary: Rs.40,000 - Rs.65,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
