Role Summary
As a TGT Bengali Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Bengali to students from Class VI to Class X, preparing and delivering lesson plans, assessing student progress, and contributing to the development of the curriculum. You will also be required to attend staff meetings, participate in school events, and collaborate with other teachers to achieve academic excellence.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Plan and deliver lessons to students, using a range of teaching methods to cater to different learning styles.
2. Assess student progress, identify areas of improvement, and provide constructive feedback.
3. Develop and implement assessments, quizzes, and exams to evaluate student understanding.
4. Prepare and distribute learning materials, such as worksheets, handouts, and multimedia resources.
5. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with best practices in teaching and learning.
6. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the curriculum.
7. Participate in extracurricular activities, such as debating, elocution, and cultural events.
8. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
Who Can Apply
To be eligible for this role, you must possess a postgraduate degree in Bengali or a related field, with a valid B.Ed. or D.El.Ed. degree. You should have a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience, preferably in a State Board school. Familiarity with the curriculum and pedagogy of the State Board of West Bengal is essential.
