About This Role

As a Primary Teacher (PRT) in our Computer Science department, you will be expected to ignite a passion for computer science in our students from Jalpaiguri and surrounding areas, setting them on a path to become future innovators and problem solvers.
Your Students
You will be teaching students from 1st to 5th standard, who are eager to learn and explore the world of computer science. Your students will be from diverse backgrounds, but all share a thirst for knowledge and a love for learning. As their teacher, you will be their guide, mentor, and role model, helping them to develop essential skills in computer science and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan and deliver engaging computer science lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of your students.
2. Use interactive learning methods, such as demonstrations, storytelling, and hands-on activities, to teach foundational concepts in computer science.
3. Develop and use relevant worksheets, rubrics, and assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding.
4. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
5. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and provide regular feedback.
6. Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and projects that integrate computer science with other subjects.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in computer science education and incorporate relevant technologies and resources into your teaching practice.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
* B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree from a recognized institution
* NET or SET qualification (preferable)
* CTET or TET qualification is not mandatory
* 3 years of experience in teaching computer science to primary students
