Narayana School Fulbari is inviting applications for an experienced TGT Bengali Teacher to strengthen its academic team in Jalpaiguri. This is a full-time position for teaching Bengali to students from Classes 6 to 10, with a focus on conceptual clarity and board exam readiness. Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver daily Bengali lessons aligned with the school’s academic calendar and CISCE/ICSE curriculum. Conduct regular formative and summative assessments to track student progress and identify areas needing reinforcement. Prepare students for board examinations with focused practice sessions, sample papers, and performance analysis.
Design interactive lessons using storytelling, group discussions, and creative writing exercises to improve language skills. Collaborate with subject teachers to integrate Bengali literature with cultural events and local festivals celebrated in Jalpaiguri. Guide students in preparing for inter-school Bengali elocution and essay competitions.
Mentor students preparing for competitive exams at the state level, providing them with additional support during and after school hours. Maintain accurate records of attendance, lesson plans, and assessment results as per school policies. Participate in parent-teacher meetings to discuss student performance and academic goals in Bengali.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate in Bengali with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a secondary school. Must hold a B.Ed degree from a recognized institution in West Bengal. Candidates with TET or CTET certification will be given preference during selection.
Prior experience in coaching students for board examinations or state-level competitive exams is desirable. Familiarity with CISCE/ICSE Bengali syllabus and assessment patterns is preferred but not mandatory. Knowledge of local Bengali dialects and cultural references will be an added advantage.
