Role Summary
West End High School is looking for a responsible Hostel Warden to manage the school hostel in Jhargram. The role involves ensuring safety, discipline, and smooth operations of the hostel facility for students and staff. The Hostel Warden will report directly to the school administration and coordinate with parents, guardians, and local authorities as needed.
What You Will Do
1. Oversee daily hostel operations including accommodation, meals, and student movement in and out of the premises.
2. Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance of hostel rooms, common areas, and dining facilities.
3. Monitor student attendance during study hours, meal times, and curfew hours strictly.
4. Address student grievances promptly and maintain a log of incidents for administrative review.
5. Coordinate with housekeeping and security teams to ensure a safe and secure environment.
6. Organize weekend activities, study support, and recreational programs for hostel students.
7. Maintain accurate records of student details, attendance, and incident reports in soft and hard copies.
8. Liaise with parents and guardians during admission, leave requests, and emergency situations.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must have completed a postgraduate degree from a recognized university. Experience in hostel management, residential care, or student welfare in a school or college setting is mandatory. Basic computer proficiency with MS Office and email communication is required. Knowledge of local languages (Bengali/Hindi) is preferred.
