Role Summary

As a TGT Bengali Teacher at West End High School, you will be responsible for teaching Bengali to students in grades 6-10, while leveraging modern tools to create engaging and interactive learning experiences.
Pedagogy and Tools
We employ a range of innovative tools, including smart boards and Google Classroom, to create a blended learning environment that supports student success. Our Learning Management System (LMS) allows teachers to track student progress and engage with parents. As a TGT Bengali Teacher, you will be expected to integrate these tools into your teaching practice, creating a dynamic and technology-enhanced learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Bengali language and literature to students in grades 6-10
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that integrate technology
- Use smart boards and Google Classroom to create interactive learning experiences
- Utilize the LMS to track student progress and engage with parents
- Assess student learning using a range of formative and summative assessments
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum initiatives
- Participate in school-wide professional development programs to enhance teaching practice
- Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture
- Engage with parents and the wider community to promote Bengali language and literature
- Stay up-to-date with developments in Bengali language and literature pedagogy and technology
Required Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Bengali or a related field
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree
- TET certification is not required, but CTET is preferred
- At least 2 years of experience teaching Bengali in a school setting
