Day-to-Day Duties
Plan weekly lesson plans aligned with the West Bengal Board curriculum for Classes VI to X.
Conduct daily theory classes using locally relevant examples—think rice-field irrigation for vectors or monsoon winds for pressure.
Organize fortnightly lab sessions where students assemble circuits, measure densities, and verify laws of reflection.
Assess two written tests and three small quizzes each term, returning corrected papers within five working days.
Prepare students for the Madhyamik Pariksha physics paper through model question drills and peer discussions.
Maintain the physics lab inventory and submit stock reports to the lab assistant before the 1st of every month.
Participate in monthly staff meetings and contribute to the annual science exhibition planning.
Eligibility Criteria
Postgraduate degree in Physics with a minimum of 50% marks.
Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) from a recognized institution.
Two years of teaching experience in a secondary school.
Familiarity with the West Bengal Board syllabus preferred.
Preferred Skills
Fluency in Bengali and English for seamless communication with students and parents.
Ability to simplify complex topics into local metaphors—such as comparing Ohm’s law to water flow in pipes.
Basic spreadsheet skills to digitize marks and generate progress charts.
