Job Title
LAB ASSISTANT Job in Kolkata, West Bengal | School Vacancy. The position is based at The Eagle Foundation Academy, Kankurgachi, Kolkata.
Responsibilities
Assist the school laboratory coordinator in preparing chemicals, setting up apparatus, and maintaining inventory of lab supplies. Ensure safety protocols are followed, conduct regular equipment checks, and support students during practical sessions under supervision. Maintain accurate records of usage, manage waste disposal according to regulatory guidelines, and coordinate with the administration for timely procurement.
Key Duties
- Set up experiments for science classes and ensure all materials are ready.
- Clean and calibrate equipment after each use and report any malfunction.
- Keep the laboratory environment organized, safe, and compliant with health standards.
- Assist in organizing science exhibitions and inter‑school lab competitions hosted by The Eagle Foundation Academy.
Requirements
Graduate degree in any discipline with at least 2 years of experience in laboratory assistance or related administrative support. Familiarity with basic safety procedures and inventory management is essential. Preference for candidates who have completed TET/CTET, though not mandatory for this non‑teaching role.
Salary
Rs.15,000 - Rs.30,000 per month, payable monthly.
Location
Kankurgachi, Kolkata, West Bengal.
Additional Information
The role reports to the school principal and works closely with the science department. Candidates will be part of the daily operations that keep The Eagle Foundation Academy’s labs functional and safe for student use.
