PGT Chemistry Teacher Position at South Point School in Kankurgachi, Kolkata
Teaching high school Chemistry students at South Point School involves designing and delivering engaging lessons aligned with the West Bengal curriculum. You will guide students through key concepts like organic chemistry, chemical reactions, and environmental science while ensuring clarity and practical application.
Your core duties include preparing detailed lesson plans, conducting experiments, and explaining complex theories in accessible ways. You’ll also monitor student progress, address their doubts, and encourage hands-on learning through lab work and projects.
Assessment and evaluation are integral to your role. You will design and administer tests, quizzes, and practical assessments to measure understanding. Regular feedback sessions will help students improve their grasp of chemistry principles.
A postgraduate degree in Chemistry with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in Chemistry, is required. While TET/CTET certification is not mandatory, it will be beneficial for your role.
