The scope of this position includes teaching Chemistry to students in Class 9 to 12, covering syllabi aligned with West Bengal’s curriculum. Daily tasks include conducting classroom lectures, demonstrating experiments, and maintaining a safe lab environment. You will also prepare students for board exams, focusing on key topics like chemical reactions, periodic trends, and environmental chemistry.
Core academic duties include preparing lesson plans, using interactive teaching methods, and encouraging hands-on learning through lab work. Assessing student understanding through quizzes, projects, and practical evaluations is part of your responsibility. You will also monitor progress, provide feedback, and help students grasp difficult concepts through one-on-one guidance.
To qualify, you must hold a postgraduate degree in Chemistry or a related field, along with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification. At least two years of teaching experience, preferably in Chemistry or science subjects, is required. While TET/CTET is preferred, it is not mandatory for this position.
