What You Will Do
As a TGT English Teacher at Narayana School, you will be expected to:
* Design and deliver engaging English lessons to students from 6th to 10th standard, focusing on developing their language skills and literary appreciation.
* Coach students for board exams, ensuring they achieve high scores and excel in their academic pursuits.
* Collaborate with other subject teachers to integrate English with other subjects and promote holistic learning.
* Conduct periodic assessments and evaluations to measure student progress and make informed teaching decisions.
* Develop and implement English curriculum, aligning it with the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education syllabus.
* Participate in school activities, such as literary festivals, debates, and elocution contests, to foster a love for English among students.
* Mentor new teachers and provide guidance on effective teaching practices and classroom management.
* Stay updated with the latest developments in English language teaching and incorporate innovative methods into your teaching.
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* A postgraduate degree in English (M.A. or M.Sc.) or a related field.
* A B.Ed. degree from a recognized university.
* A minimum of three years of teaching experience in English at the secondary school level.
* Strong knowledge of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education syllabus and examination patterns.
* Fluency in English and proficiency in Bengali (desirable).
