Job Overview

The Physical Education department designs programs that go beyond the classroom to build lifelong fitness habits. Teachers here shape daily routines where every student feels included and challenged in equal measure.
Who You Will Teach
You will lead Physical Education classes for students in grades 6 through 10 at Narayana School’s A. C Lane campus. The cohort includes learners with varied abilities and prior exposure to sports, so differentiated lesson plans are essential. Inclusive classroom strategies ensure no child is left standing on the sidelines.
Day-to-Day Duties
Conduct structured warm-up and cool-down sessions for classes of 30–35 students using age-appropriate drills. Organize modified games that allow students of all skill levels to participate and feel successful. Plan monthly fitness challenges that track progress through simple agility and endurance tests.
Collaborate with the sports coordinator to schedule inter-house tournaments in football, cricket, and athletics. Prepare students for inter-school competitions by arranging practice matches and fitness camps during vacations. Maintain equipment logs and ensure safe storage of balls, nets, and mats after each session.
Monitor attendance and participation to identify students who need extra encouragement or adapted activities. Share weekly progress reports with parents through the school’s parent portal in English and Bengali. Attend departmental meetings to align Physical Education goals with academic milestones set by the school.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate candidates with a minimum of two years’ experience in Physical Education teaching qualify to apply. B.Ed or M.Ed holders with specialization in sports science or physical education will be preferred. Experience in inclusive classroom settings adds value for this role at Narayana School.
Preferred Skills
Patience and adaptability are vital when tailoring activities for students with diverse abilities. Clear communication in both English and Bengali helps build trust with parents and students alike. A calm demeanor during outdoor sessions keeps the learning environment positive and energetic.
What You Get
Salary: No bar for deserving candidates per month. Additional benefits include health coverage, uniform allowance, and access to in-house sports facilities. Professional development opportunities through workshops and national conferences are regularly offered at Narayana School.
