Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily Physical Education classes for two sections each of grades 6 to 10, maintaining a balanced indoor-outdoor schedule suited to Kolkata’s weather.
Design term-wise lesson plans aligned to CBSE Physical Education syllabus, including fitness tests, skill drills and theory worksheets in English/Bengali.
Assess students through periodic fitness logs, skill checklists and written tests; submit consolidated marks in the school ERP before each terminal exam.
Organize inter-house tournaments in volleyball, football and athletics; coordinate with house captains and ground staff for smooth execution.
Plan and supervise annual sports day events, including track events, drills and mass P.T. displays involving 200+ students.
Prepare students for CBSE Physical Education practical exams; conduct mock tests and provide feedback sheets.
Maintain inventory of sports equipment, report damages to the admin, and ensure safe storage after each session.
Attend departmental meetings every fortnight to discuss curriculum gaps and share best practices with fellow TGT Physical Education Teachers.
Who Can Apply
Postgraduate in Physical Education or M.Sc in Sports Science from a recognized Indian university.
Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or B.Sc in Health & Physical Education with minimum 50% marks.
Preference for candidates with D.El.Ed/B.Ed if they have relevant sports coaching experience.
TET/CTET not required for this subject specialist role.
