TGT Physics Teacher – Convent Of Our Lady Of Providence Girls High School, Kankurgachi, Kolkata
Daily Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging Physics lessons for classes IX to XII, following the state curriculum and school timetable.
- Prepare and deliver clear explanations, demonstrations, and practical experiments to aid student understanding.
- Assess student work daily, provide constructive feedback, and record marks in the school’s grading system.
- Maintain discipline in the classroom and create a supportive learning environment for girls.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
- Design and update lesson plans, worksheets, and assessment tools on a weekly basis to align with syllabus objectives.
- Organize and supervise laboratory sessions, ensuring safety protocols and proper use of equipment.
- Conduct periodic quizzes, unit tests and moderate board examinations, entering results promptly.
- Participate in department meetings, staff development programmes, and school events such as science fairs and exhibitions.
Periodic Responsibilities
- Lead termly parent‑teacher meetings to discuss student progress and address concerns.
- Contribute to the preparation of annual academic reports and curriculum reviews.
- Undertake school‑wide duties such as inventory of lab supplies and coordination of inter‑school competitions.
Qualification and Experience
- Post‑graduate degree in Physics or related discipline.
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory; CTET/TET preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a recognised school setting, preferably with experience teaching senior secondary classes.
Salary and Location
- Salary: Rs.28,000 – Rs.45,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
- Location: Kankurgachi, Kolkata, West Bengal.
- Full‑time, permanent position at Convent Of Our Lady Of Providence Girls High School.
