About This Role
The PRT Bengali Teacher vacancy in Maldah will handle classes from Nursery to Grade 5, planning daily Bengali lessons aligned with Delhi World Public School’s curriculum. You will conduct age-appropriate language activities, storytelling sessions, and basic grammar exercises in Bengali. Regular parent-teacher interactions on student progress in Bengali are expected. Participation in school festivals and cultural events involving Bengali literature is part of the role. Collaboration with subject teachers to integrate Bengali across activities is required.
Day-to-Day Duties
1. Prepare lesson plans for Bengali for classes Nursery to Grade 5 as per Delhi World Public School guidelines.
2. Conduct daily Bengali classes with focus on listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
3. Organize storytelling sessions and recitation activities in Bengali to build interest.
4. Assess student performance through simple written tests and oral evaluations in Bengali.
5. Provide feedback to parents on student progress in Bengali during PTMs.
6. Organize special assemblies or events where students present Bengali poems or songs.
7. Maintain classroom discipline and ensure students use Bengali during designated periods.
8. Participate in school-level curriculum review meetings for Bengali.
9. Assist in preparing Bengali language corners and displays in the school.
Eligibility Criteria
Must Have
Graduation in any discipline with B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution
Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in Bengali at the primary level
Fluency in spoken and written Bengali and English
Willingness to work in Malda, Maldah, West Bengal
Ability to prepare lesson plans and maintain records
Good to Have
CTET or TET qualified
Experience in CBSE-affiliated schools
Knowledge of child psychology and classroom management
Previous experience in cultural or literary activities in Bengali
Familiarity with digital teaching tools for language learning
