PGT History Teacher Job in Dipayan Pathsala, Beldanga I, Murshidabad
Dipayan Pathsala in Beldanga I, Murshidabad, seeks a dedicated Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) History to guide students through India’s rich historical narratives with depth and critical analysis. This role requires expertise in shaping young minds through engaging lessons on ancient civilizations, colonial rule, national movements, and contemporary history, ensuring alignment with CBSE/West Bengal Board syllabi.
The PGT will design lesson plans that blend theoretical knowledge with primary sources, maps, and multimedia to foster analytical thinking. Curriculum development for History units—such as drafting unit-wise assessments, preparing project-based learning modules, and integrating local history studies—will be a key responsibility. Fieldwork, such as organizing school visits to heritage sites or conducting oral history projects, will also be part of the role.
Assessment in History demands a nuanced approach—balancing objective tests with subjective evaluations like essay writing, debates, and case studies. The PGT must evaluate students’ understanding of historical concepts, chronology, and critical interpretation while maintaining fairness and transparency in grading.
For this position, a postgraduate degree in History with a B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory. A TET/CTET certificate is preferred but not mandatory. Four years of teaching experience, preferably in History or related subjects, is essential to bring practical insights to the classroom.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 50,000 per month, along with a conducive work environment in Murshidabad’s educational hub. The role offers stability, opportunities for professional growth, and the chance to contribute to shaping students’ historical perspectives.
