PRT Social Science Teacher Position at Netaji Subhash Public School, Murshidabad

Daily Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging lessons covering key topics in social science, ensuring alignment with the curriculum. Prepare classroom activities, discussions, and interactive sessions tailored to students’ understanding levels. Monitor student progress during lessons and address any learning gaps promptly. Maintain a structured classroom routine while keeping instruction dynamic and student-centered.
Regular Responsibilities Across the Academic Cycle
Develop and update lesson plans, assessments, and evaluation methods to track student performance in social science subjects. Collaborate with the principal and subject coordinators to review teaching strategies and improve lesson effectiveness. Organize classroom-based projects, presentations, and field trips to enhance students’ practical knowledge in social studies. Participate in school-wide events and programs related to social science education.
Periodic Responsibilities
Attend regular faculty meetings to discuss curriculum updates, student feedback, and teaching best practices. Conduct periodic classroom observations to assess teaching quality and provide constructive feedback to colleagues. Ensure compliance with school policies on student discipline, attendance, and academic integrity in social science subjects.
Qualifications and Experience
Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or a related field. Possess a B.Ed or D.El.Ed degree to qualify for teaching at this level. Two years of teaching experience, preferably in social science or a relevant subject, is essential. Familiarity with CBSE/ICSE curriculum guidelines is highly desirable. TET/CTET certification is preferred but not mandatory.
Salary and Location
The selected candidate will be offered a monthly salary of Rs.14,000 to Rs.25,000. The position is based in Murshidabad, West Bengal, with full-time employment. The role supports a dynamic school environment focused on holistic student development.
