About Nargis Model Academy | West Bengal

Nargis Model Academy opened its doors in 2021 under the stewardship of the Nargis Educational and Welfare Trust (Registration No. IV‑1902‑01458/2022). Nestled in the quiet village of Bandakhola, just a short drive from the town centre of Nakashipara in Nadia district, the school serves a tight‑knit community that values education as a pathway to progress. The campus is modest but well‑maintained, with classrooms that have been equipped for basic digital use, a small library stocked with both Bengali and English titles, and a playground that sees the laughter of children from ages six to eighteen. As a CBSE‑affiliated institution, the academic calendar follows the national board’s guidelines while allowing room for local relevance.

The student body is co‑educational and primarily drawn from the surrounding villages, many of whom speak Bengali at home and are eager to engage with the broader curriculum offered by the CBSE framework. Teachers find themselves working with learners who are accustomed to a mix of traditional teaching methods and newer, technology‑aided approaches. Because the school places a strong emphasis on clear communication in Bengali, teachers who are comfortable switching between the language of the board and the mother tongue of the students often see their lessons resonate more deeply. The community itself is supportive; parents frequently attend school functions, and local leaders often participate in cultural events held on campus.

In the classroom, the expectation is that educators bring solid subject knowledge together with a willingness to use computers for lesson planning, assessments, and occasional interactive activities. Even teachers who are just beginning their careers, such as those holding a Diploma in Elementary Education, are welcomed if they can demonstrate a basic level of computer literacy and a genuine interest in the students’ growth. More seasoned teachers find the environment rewarding because they can shape a relatively new institution, influence its policies, and mentor younger colleagues as the school refines its teaching practices.

A teacher who thrives at Nargus Model Academy is someone who values community interaction as much as academic rigor. If you enjoy tailoring explanations to a bilingual audience, are comfortable integrating simple digital tools into your lessons, and are eager to contribute
