Job Description
Narayana School Krishnagar seeks a dedicated NTT Mathematics Teacher for its Krishnagar I campus in Nadia. This role focuses on delivering engaging and structured mathematics lessons aligned with the West Bengal curriculum while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills in students.
Teaching responsibilities include planning and executing daily mathematics classes for grades covering foundational to higher-level concepts. You will prepare lesson plans that incorporate interactive methods, real-world applications, and differentiated instruction to meet diverse student needs. Assess student progress through continuous evaluation, including homework, quizzes, and periodic tests, while providing constructive feedback to improve understanding.
Engage with parents through regular communication to support their children’s academic growth and address any concerns related to mathematics performance. Collaborate with the mathematics faculty to share best practices, share resources, and participate in departmental meetings to refine teaching strategies. Maintain a well-organized classroom environment with clear expectations for behavior, participation, and academic rigor.
Develop and implement unit tests, projects, and extracurricular activities to enhance students’ interest in mathematics, such as competitions, puzzle-solving sessions, or guest lectures from industry experts. Ensure compliance with school policies on attendance, punctuality, and adherence to curriculum guidelines. Participate in school events, including sports days, cultural fests, and parent-teacher meetings, to build a supportive school community.
Stay updated with the latest educational trends, teaching methodologies, and technological tools for mathematics education to innovate classroom practices. Assist in organizing school events or workshops related to mathematics, such as workshops on coding, data science basics, or career guidance for students. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other administrative tasks as required by the school.
The ideal candidate holds a graduate degree in Mathematics or a related field and at least two years of teaching experience, preferably in a school setting. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification is mandatory, with TET/CTET certification preferred but not mandatory.
