Role Summary:
The St. Stephen School in Ranaghat I, Nadia, West Bengal is seeking a qualified Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Music to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Music and be able to teach students from Class VI to Class XII. This is a full-time position for an experienced teacher.
Day-to-Day Duties:
1. Teach Music to students of Class VI to Class XII.
2. Prepare and deliver lesson plans as per the curriculum.
3. Evaluate student progress and provide regular feedback.
4. Conduct classes, workshops, and concerts to promote Music education.
5. Develop and implement Music curriculum for the school.
6. Collaborate with other teachers to provide a well-rounded education.
7. Participate in school events and activities.
8. Maintain accurate records and reports.
9. Take part in staff meetings and professional development.
Required Qualifications:
Must Have:
- Post Graduate degree in Music (M.A. in Music or equivalent).
- B.Ed or D.El.Ed certification.
- Valid TET or CTET certification (preferably).
Good to Have:
- Experience in teaching Music in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of Music theory and history.
- Ability to use technology in music education.
- Familiarity with the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education curriculum.
