PGT Physical Education Teacher Job in Nadia, West Bengal | School Recruitment
Responsibilities
Plan and conduct daily Physical Education classes for classes VI to XII, incorporating games, athletics, yoga and fitness drills tailored to the needs of students in Chapra, Nadia. Organise inter‑school tournaments and intra‑school sports meets, ensuring safety protocols and proper equipment handling. Monitor student progress in physical fitness, maintain attendance records and prepare periodic performance reports for parents and school administration. Coordinate with the school’s health department for regular health check‑ups and first‑aid readiness during sports activities. Lead extracurricular clubs such as cricket, football and martial arts, fostering teamwork and discipline among learners. Prepare and update the Physical Education curriculum in line with West Bengal Board guidelines and the school’s holistic education vision.
Qualifications
Post‑graduate degree in Physical Education or related discipline with B.Ed/D.El.Ed certification. Minimum two years of teaching experience in a school setting, preferably handling senior secondary classes. TET or CTET qualification is preferred and will be considered an advantage. Candidates must possess a valid teaching licence for West Bengal schools and demonstrate competence in modern sports coaching techniques.
Experience
At least 2 years of experience delivering Physical Education lessons in a school environment, with a record of organizing sports events and managing school teams. Experience in using digital tools for fitness assessment and maintaining sports inventory is desirable.
Salary
Rs.28,000 - Rs.55,000 per month, payable as per school norms.
Location
