ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - Distributed Systems in Guhwati, Assam | University Recruitment
Role Summary:
The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at The Assam Royal Global University, Guhwati, Assam invites applications for the position of ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR - Distributed Systems to join its faculty. The Department is renowned for its research excellence in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Networking, with a strong focus on interdisciplinary research collaborations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach UG and PG courses on Distributed Systems, Computer Networks, and Operating Systems.
- Conduct research in Distributed Systems, with a focus on cloud computing, big data, and cybersecurity.
- Publish research papers in top-tier conferences and journals.
- Supervise Ph.D. students and guide them towards successful completion.
- Participate in departmental and university-level administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with industry partners for research and development projects.
- Develop and maintain curriculum for Distributed Systems courses.
- Conduct workshops and training programs for students and faculty members.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Distributed Systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering or a related field is mandatory.
- Post-doctoral research experience is preferred.
- UGC-NET or UGC-CSIR NET with JRF is required.
- Teaching experience at the UG and PG levels is desirable.
Research & Publications:
- Conduct collaborative research projects with industry partners and other universities.
- Apply for research grants from funding agencies such as DST, DRDO, and ICMR.
- Publish research papers in top-tier conferences and journals such as IEEE, ACM, and Springer.
- Collaborate with faculty members from other departments for interdisciplinary research projects.
Research Leadership:
- Guide Ph.D. students towards successful completion.
- Evaluate and review Ph.D. theses.
- Participate in departmental and university-level research committees.
- Collaborate with faculty members to develop research proposals and applications.
