Role Summary
Teach English to young learners in Classes 1 to 5 at Podar International School, Aurangabad. Shape foundational reading, writing, speaking and listening skills in a vibrant student community that reflects the cultural mix of Aurangabad. Your lessons will spark curiosity and confidence in English, preparing children for future academic success.
Your Students
You will guide 20–25 children each year in Classes 1 to 5, many of whom are experiencing English as a classroom language for the first time. Your classroom will include learners from diverse backgrounds, so adaptability and patience are key. Parent-teacher interactions in Hindi and English will be regular, so clear communication is important.
Day-to-Day Duties
Prepare and deliver daily English lessons aligned with the school’s activity-based curriculum for Classes 1 to 5.
Design interactive worksheets, flashcards and simple storybooks that reinforce vocabulary and sentence formation.
Conduct storytelling sessions, role-plays and phonics drills to build listening and speaking skills.
Use rhymes, chants and picture-based activities to keep young learners engaged.
Assess student progress through informal observations, oral checks and short written tasks.
Maintain classroom discipline with positive reinforcement and structured routines.
Communicate progress to parents during open-house sessions and informal meetings.
Eligibility
Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university.
D.El.Ed or B.Ed degree in English or with English as a teaching subject.
Minimum 2 years of full-time English teaching experience in primary classes.
Familiarity with CBSE or state board English syllabi is desirable.
