Aryabhatta International School

Aryabhatta International School sits on a bustling stretch of Darbhanga Sadar, where the rhythm of the city blends with the quiet focus of a campus that has been serving the community for over a decade. The school follows the CBSE curriculum and is fully affiliated, which means teachers work within a framework that is recognised nationwide while still having room to adapt lessons to local needs. The administration values consistency and clear communication, and most staff find the day‑to‑day schedule predictable enough to plan their lessons, yet flexible enough to try new approaches when they see a genuine need. Professional development sessions are held twice a year, and senior teachers often mentor newcomers, creating a supportive network without the bureaucracy that can slow decision‑making.

The students at Aryabhatta come from a mix of middle‑class families in Darbhanga and surrounding villages, and you’ll notice a genuine curiosity in many of them, especially in subjects like mathematics and science. English is the medium of instruction, but Hindi and Maithili are spoken in the corridors, so teachers who are comfortable navigating a multilingual environment find themselves at an advantage. The school’s extracurricular clubs – from cricket to robotics – are run largely by teachers, giving staff the chance to engage with pupils beyond the classroom and see the impact of their guidance in real time.

Academically the school strives for a balance between rigorous board preparation and encouraging creative thinking. Exams are taken seriously, yet teachers are encouraged to incorporate project‑based work and real‑world examples, especially in the higher grades. The library has been expanded recently, and the science labs have been upgraded with equipment that supports hands‑on experiments. If you enjoy planning lessons that meet CBSE standards while also experimenting with inquiry‑based methods, you’ll feel at home here.

A teacher who thrives at Aryabhatta is someone who is organized yet adaptable, who values steady progress over flashiness, and who is ready to become part of a close‑knit community. You should be comfortable interacting with parents who are keen to understand their child’s learning journey, and you should be willing to take on a few extra responsibilities, such as heading a club or coordinating a school event. In return, you’ll find a workplace where your contributions are noticed, where colleagues are approachable, and where the daily rhythm of teaching
