Role introduction
Birla Open Minds International School | Loam Road is looking for a Physical Education professional to lead its sports programme in Darbhanga Sadar, Darbhanga, Bihar. This full‑time position reports to the Head of School and involves overseeing all physical education activities, facilities and events.
Responsibilities
- Design, plan and supervise the school’s sports curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Manage the maintenance, safety and scheduling of the gymnasium, fields and equipment.
- Coordinate inter‑school tournaments, intra‑school competitions and annual sports day.
- Liaise with parents, coaches and vendors to arrange training sessions, workshops and sports supplies.
- Monitor student participation, performance records and health clearances.
- Prepare budgets, procure sports gear and ensure optimal utilization of resources.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to align physical education goals with overall school objectives.
- Evaluate programme effectiveness and recommend improvements to senior management.
Qualification
Must Have
- Graduate degree in any discipline with B.Ed or D.El.Ed qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in school sports administration or related field.
Good to Have
- TET / CTET certification is an advantage.
- Additional certifications in sports coaching or fitness management.
Skills
- Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, parents and staff.
- Knowledge of safety standards and first‑aid procedures in sports settings.
- Ability to manage budgets and negotiate with suppliers.
- Proficiency in using sports management software and basic computer applications.
Salary and location
The role offers a salary of Rs.20,000 – Rs.38,000 per month. The posting is based in Darbhanga Sadar, Darbhanga, Bihar.
