Cricket Coach – Full‑time (East Delhi)
Role overview
The school seeks a dedicated Cricket Coach to lead and develop the cricket programme for students at its Preet Vihar campus. The coach will plan, conduct and supervise training sessions, organise intra‑school matches and represent the school in inter‑school tournaments. The position reports to the Physical Education coordinator and works closely with teachers to integrate sports activities within the overall school schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Design age‑appropriate training plans covering skill development, fitness, teamwork and game tactics for various student groups.
- Conduct regular practice sessions on the school’s cricket ground, ensuring safety standards and proper use of equipment.
- Evaluate individual player performance, provide feedback and maintain progress records.
- Organise and manage school‑level cricket matches, including scheduling, team selection and match logistics.
- Coordinate participation in external competitions, handling registration, travel arrangements and liaison with tournament officials.
- Promote sportsmanship, discipline and a positive attitude among players, reinforcing the school’s values.
- Maintain cricket equipment, arrange for repairs or replacements as needed, and keep an inventory log.
- Collaborate with the Physical Education department to align cricket activities with the broader curriculum and school events.
- Mentor students interested in pursuing cricket beyond school, offering guidance on skill improvement and pathways.
Qualifications and experience
- Graduate degree in any discipline.
- Minimum three years of experience coaching cricket, preferably in a school or youth‑sports setting.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver effective training programmes for children and adolescents.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents and school staff.
- Knowledge of basic first‑aid and safety procedures related to sports activities.
Remuneration and location
- Salary: Rs.30,000 – Rs.40,000 per month, payable as per school policy.
- Employment type: Full‑time, permanent position.
- Work location: Preet Vihar, East Delhi, Delhi (Tier 1 city).
