About This Role
As a senior English department role at Avb Public School, you will be responsible for teaching English to students from Class 6 to 12. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in English literature and language and be able to lead the English department to achieve academic excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement English curriculum for Classes 6 to 12
- Teach English language and literature to students
- Mentor junior staff and provide guidance on teaching methodologies
- Conduct board exams and prepare students for CBSE exams
- Co-ordinate with other departments for interdisciplinary activities
- Conduct workshops for teachers on English language and literature
- Monitor student progress and maintain records
- Assist in setting up English language and literature clubs
- Organize English literary events and festivals
- Participate in school committees and contribute to policy-making
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for this role, you must have a B.Ed degree from a recognized university. A minimum of 5 years of experience in teaching English is required. NET or SET qualification is preferred but not mandatory. You must be proficient in English and have a good command over the language.
