Daily responsibilities include planning and conducting morning assembly physical exercises, ensuring students participate in school sports events like track-and-field, basketball, and volleyball. Daily monitoring of students’ physical fitness levels through drills and team-building activities is essential. Organizing short, engaging physical activities during recess and lunch breaks keeps students active and attentive. Ensuring proper safety protocols during outdoor games and maintaining equipment cleanliness are part of daily duties.
Regular responsibilities across the academic cycle involve designing and implementing the school’s annual sports calendar, including inter-house competitions and team training sessions. Collaborating with the principal and other teachers to integrate physical education into the curriculum ensures alignment with academic goals. Representing the school in local sports events and fostering a culture of sportsmanship among students is crucial. Preparing weekly lesson plans for physical education classes, including theory and practical sessions, is also a key responsibility.
Periodic responsibilities include organizing annual sports fests and participating in school-wide health awareness campaigns.
