PRT Dance Teacher Job in New Delhi, Delhi | School Recruitment
Leadership opportunity
Vidyapati Pub School invites passionate PRT Dance Teachers who are ready to step into a leadership role as the Head of the Dance Department. This is a rare chance to shape the artistic vision of the school and mentor young dancers from classes I to V. The right candidate will grow from a classroom teacher to a strategic leader within the school’s cultural programme.
Strategic responsibilities
Oversee the daily dance curriculum for primary students, ensuring alignment with Vidyapati Pub School’s holistic development goals. Curate annual dance performances that showcase student talent at inter-house and inter-school events. Collaborate with music and arts faculty to integrate dance with other performing arts streams. Lead teacher training workshops on safe dance practice and age-appropriate choreography. Manage the Dance Studio resources, inventory, and budget requests for costumes and props. Represent Vidyapati Pub School at local cultural fairs and inter-school competitions. Develop assessment rubrics for dance skills and stage presence in primary grades. Document student progress and share creative portfolios with parents during PTMs. Mentor junior dance teachers and student dance club coordinators.
What you bring
A graduate degree in any discipline with a minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience in dance education. A B.Ed or D.El.Ed from a recognized institution is essential; TET/CTET will be an added advantage. Prior leadership experience in a school dance team or as a department coordinator is highly preferred. Familiarity with Indian classical, folk, and contemporary dance forms is desirable.
Career trajectory and growth
Grow from a PRT Dance Teacher to the Head of Dance within 2-3 years based on performance and initiative. Lead larger cultural initiatives such as the annual festival and inter-school Olympiads. Participate in national-level teacher exchange programmes with partner schools. Opportunity to author dance curriculum modules for the school’s digital learning platform.
