English (PRT) Vacancy in New Delhi, Delhi
ABHINAV GLOBAL SCHOOL
Job Description
Abhinav Global School believes every child in New Delhi deserves a strong foundation in English so they can express themselves confidently and engage fully in classroom life. We design lessons that meet learners where they are, whether they speak Hindi, Punjabi or English at home, and help them grow step by step.
Role Summary
We are looking for a PRT English Teacher to join Abhinav Global School and shape the language skills of students from Classes 1 to 5. You will plan daily lessons, conduct reading circles, use picture cards and flashcards, and organise short skits so children speak and write with clarity. Regular parent updates and home tasks will keep families connected to classroom progress.
Your Students (diverse learning levels, inclusive classroom in New Delhi)
In New Delhi classrooms you will teach children who come from different linguistic and socio-economic backgrounds. Some grasp phonics quickly, others need extra time with blends and sight words, while a few arrive with almost no exposure to English at home. Abhinav Global School provides learning aids and peer buddies to ensure no learner is left behind.
Key Responsibilities
Create weekly lesson plans for English that cover listening, speaking, reading and writing for Grades 1-5.
Use worksheets, flashcards, audio clips and simple props to make grammar and vocabulary engaging.
Conduct storytelling sessions every Tuesday and Friday to build listening stamina and creative expression.
Organise Friday morning assemblies where students recite poems or act out short dialogues.
Prepare monthly progress charts and share them with parents during PTMs in Hindi or English.
Differentiate worksheets—green for quick grasp, yellow for on-level, red for reinforcement.
Keep a small resource corner with graded readers, picture dictionaries and phonics cards.
Attend fortnightly teacher support meetings to review student needs and adjust plans.
Who Can Apply
Candidates with a graduate degree in English or Education and a valid CTET certificate can apply.
Minimum three years of classroom teaching experience in primary English is required.
Experience with inclusive classrooms and students with mild learning differences is preferred.
Familiarity with CBSE English syllabus for Classes 1-5 is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
Patience to repeat instructions and scaffold learning for slow and fast learners alike.
Strong Hindi and English communication to explain concepts and counsel parents.
Ability to create simple, colourful teaching aids from locally available materials.
Willingness to attend weekend workshops on phonics and storytelling.
